DEXTER'S 8 WEEK CHECKUP

Ok there's good news and bad news. The bad news is Dexter's thyroid is low again, so he's back on meds. It was just slightly, borderline low, but we're not taking any chances. So it's back to blood draws every 2 weeks. Bummer.

The good news is that he's in the 98th percentile for size! He's over 13lbs and at the top of the curve, but not overweight. He's the perfect weight for his length, and I must add...his head is the perfect size to go with it all. (Mahlon thinks his head is too big but that's not true, it's perfect!) Also, the doctor was so impressed that Dexter can roll himself over from front to back. He says babies don't normally do that 'til about 4 months! Go Dex!

So, despite the thyroid problem, Dexter is in great shape and is a completely happy, healthy little boy :o)
