REGGIO CALABRIA AND SCILLA

Shana, Trish, Krystal, Dexter and I went to Reggio Calabria and Scilla on a bus trip Saturday. Dexter didn't enjoy it so much...it was 3 hours there and 3 hours back plus a ferry ride across the strait. Luckily I have amazing friends who love Dexter and are patient and helpful.

Here's Krystal and Trish on the bus:

Me and Shana:
The ferry ride was interesting. We all got off the bus. Dexter had trouble getting around because the floor was a little shaky. So he rode this elephant for awhile. There was also a kids play area with a little miniature ferry boat to climb around in. So he had a little fun.

We went outside on the deck too.

Reggio Calabria is beautiful! And it's so clean! We found a pretty restaurant to have lunch with a view of the sea. They had great pizza.

Dexter slept through the whole meal, which made it even more enjoyable!
Then we spent a few minutes on the beach. You can see Sicily across the strait!

We played around on a boat that was sitting there on the beach and almost tipped it over. Way to go, us!
Our next stop was Scilla, a small town on the side of a cliff with a million steps. By now, Dexter was in a bad mood and nothing was going to convince him to be happy. He cried almost the whole time we were in Scilla, and after all the steps we carried Dex and all the equipment he requires up, we were the ones who should have been crying.
Here's the castle we decided not to tour because we wanted gelato instead. So we took a bunch of pictures in front of it, then went for the sweets.
Someone told Trish her arms didn't look that fat. So now she thinks her arms look fat and likes to do arm-flattering poses.
...and Krystal followed suit.

Dexter finally got some time to run around and play before we got on the bus. He didn't get enough energy out though, and cried almost the whole way home. Oh well. At least we got some cute pictures.
