CUTULIS DAY 2

Last night we met the Cutulis at their hotel and they followed us downtown to Catania. We spent some time just hanging around Elephant Square and seeing the church, taking it all in.



Oh my gosh, I love this place.

Then we went for a walk down Via Etnea for some shopping. Aunt Graziella called while we were out there and wanted us to know she's thrilled we're all spending time together. I wish she was here too!

Gregorio was suffering because he was in an accident on his motorcycle the day before they came here. He's all scraped up and limping around. But that didn't stop him from buying and changing into a whole new outfit on Via Etnea. He also enjoyed pushing Dex man around.

Eventually he got tired and Giuseppe carried him on his shoulders. Eliseo acted like he was helping too.
What a great big brother!
We had Mexican food at Carlito's.

Giuseppe ordered the biggest steak in the world. It was bigger than his plate. It reminded me of John Candy in "The Great Outdoors" when he orders the big 96. But Giuseppe didn't even break a sweat!

Sara was sitting next to me. She opened her Italian-English dictionary and pointed to the word "glutton" and started laughing. Then she taught me the word 'brillo' which means 'tipsy' in Italian. We were all cracking up calling Giuseppe a brillo glutton while he ate his half cow and drank his beer. He didn't care. He was actually smiling for the first time on the trip.

And look, he even got into the Mexican spirit, ole!
